Tutorial 1 Getting Started
This is the first tutorial in a series that show you how to use iMagic Timetable Master. This tutorial steps you through the process of creating your first timetable.
When you first run the application the Create Timetable Wizard will start. If this is not the first time you have run the application or you have closed it open it now by clicking the New Table button on the toolbar.
This wizard allows you to define the times, days and who the timetable is going to be used by.
Step 1. Welcome
The first step welcomes you to the wizard and indicates what it does. To continue:
1. Click the Next button.
Step 2. Choosing the style or look of your timetable.
This step allows you to choose the look and feel for your finished timetable. To choose the style:
1. Click a style name this will change the preview panel allowing you to view the style before using it.
2. When you have chosen your style click the Next button.
Step 3. Choosing what type of timetable to create.
A timetable can be made for a room, class or tutor. This step allows you to choose which. To choose who the timetable is for:
1. Select the Class, Tutor or Room.
2. Click the Next button.
Step 4. Choosing whom the timetable is for.
Choose whom the timetable should be created for:
1. If the Class/Room/Tutor already exists choose it from the list otherwise type the new name in the space provided.
2. Click the Next button.
Step 5. Choosing which days to include.
Choose the days you would like to include in this timetable.
1. Select the days you would like to use for this timetable. If none of the options fit your requirements click the Custom button to define your own.
2. Click the Next button.
Step 6. Choosing which hours to include.
Choose the hours you would like to include in this timetable.
1. Select the hours you would like to use for this timetable. If none of the options fit your requirements click the Custom button to define your own.
2. Click the Next button.
Step 7. Finished
All of the necessary information to create your timetable has been entered. To continue:
1. Click the Next button.
Tips
· You can create as many timetables as required by repeating the procedure above for each timetable.
